Life can take the most interesting turns and twists. Why do we react the way we do? Why don't we stay calm in all situations and just trust God? He is always with us, and never leaves us. He promises this. Yet, we can totally break down and over react. I always thought that if we read God's word regularly, prayed faithfully, and made God's word very real in our lives, that we would stay collected in the worst of times and the best of times.
In moments of trouble we must remember that all problems and troubles are temporary. God is forever and is always with us. I am so thankful that a deep peace can and does fall upon His children. When I am in this position I almost think that I am ambivalent, yet I know that I am not. How do we explain this to people. I do care, yet I can do nothing more than I have done. Now just stand and wait on the Lord who will deliver me in the day of my troubles.
Look around, we can see and hear God everywhere. Yet, sin has moved in also and often takes our attention away from the things that are pure, holy, righteous, lovely and all things that are good. What a battle we are always in and not even aware of it most of the time. Turn our eyes upon Jesus, look at His beautiful face. Turn away from sin and the things that bring sin into our minds, lives and heart. Learn God which is truth and then evil and sin will be revealed in the light. We don't have to be exposed to and learn about evil, it will contradict truth. When that happens we know it is wrong. Flee from it. Learn all of God's promises and trust Him to keep them in His time. We must believe them for what they are, not what we want them to be. Hard to do.
Everyday is new, with no mistakes. Smile, skip and work unto the Lord. It is all good even when we think it is bad.
